Howard & Evanston

Howard & Evanston Community Center provides affordable and free education, employment and health assistance programs for the Greater Rogers Park Area and Evanston. Launched in 1967 as a food pantry, Howard & Evanston (HECC) provides many services spanning early learning, youth development, reentry and employment. Many of HECC’s services are life-sustaining. Individuals and families set their own goals, and HECC is here to lend a helping hand along their journey to success. Formerly known as the Howard Area Community Center, the agency joined Metropolitan Family Services in July 2023.
